Greetings, all, and welcome to my brand-spanking new book blog! I thought I’d start by introducing myself, so you all would know a little bit about who I am and what you can expect from this new endeavor of mine.

My name is Ally. I’m a 25-year-old Midwestern gal with a huge appetite for books. And for food, honestly, but we’re here to talk about books, so we’ll stick with that. I’m currently working on my Master’s degree in Library Science so I can work in a high school library, connecting young adult books with real live young adults. Young adult literature is my passion, and I’m so excited to get to talk about it for the rest of my life! I’m married to my high school sweetheart, Evan, and we have two furbabies, Hattie and Luella. Hattie, or more formally, Harriet the Bear, is a 7-year-old boxer mix (maybe?) that Evan and I adopted shortly after our wedding in 2015. Luella is our 6-year-old feline head of household that we adopted about 8 months later.

In addition to books, I also love musical theatre. I was a huge player in my high school’s Thespian Troupe once upon a time, but now I’m more of an enthusiastic appreciator. Expect me to find excuses to talk about my favorite shows every now and then. I also really love Dr Pepper. Like, wayyyyy too much to be healthy.
